There is nothing much to do in Roeselare except for shoppings. The mainshopping street is in Oostraat where you find all establishments in city. If you go out from the center you have a Castle, located in Rumbeke in Sterrebos. A nice place to walk, this is apparently a nice bush outside the city
The road from Brugsesteenweg runs to Mammoet center of Roeselare where another shopping center, is called Mammoet center. It can be very busy sometimes in the week and on weekends, so is best to a avoid on weekends and on Wednesday afternoon. Roeselare is a favourite place for shoppers during weekend for local inhabitants. Car parkings are exppensive, you pay for about 1€ an hour, but the nicest thing in Roeselare, they have two underground parkings, "De Munt and Wallen Parking". If you drive down to this parkings, the first hour is free and if you exceed after one hour stay the exceeded time payable from 2.50€. Fine for without parking tickets cost 25€ is quite a lot of money.
Roeselare is not very known city as Ypres, but I like this place. Is not only a shopping place, it also has many restaurants, cafes/bars. Of course Rodenbach beer is originally from Roeselare.
